Sad goodbyes & Good news on our Visas!

Praise the Lord!  Good news on the Visas!  But first here are some pics of us seeing off Melanie.
Noah and I (below) are taking Melanie to the airport.  After which we had to run directly to the visa office.  Notice Elijah playing in the picture.  When Melanie started walking away Elijah began wailing and following her.
So Elijah walked with her to the guard house and amidst many tears gave her one last hug.  May God bless Melanie in Bolivia and in her last year of college at UBC.  She was a blessing to us and to the church here.
Now back to the good news on our Colombian Visas.  I just got home with all of our Colombian Visas! God is so good!
They are good for another 2 years.  And since this is our third Visa without problems, next year we are permitted to apply for a lifetime Colombian Residency.  And then no more of this constant paperwork.  Thank you for praying!
Phillip

May God bless you for all your labors and patience on this, another task of serving Jesus abroad. I was sad that Melanie's last days had to be filled with the visa grief but guess this was also part of her training, that what, no doubt her parents have faced in Bolovia is also present in other countries. I am rejoicing with you, Love, Moma

Thank you, Mom Bryan, for your comment. Yeah, we also would have rather had a relaxing time with Melanie on her last week. But she was a good sport. Love and miss you and Dad Bryan.

It made me cry when I saw how sad Elijah got when he saw his Melanie leaving. I detest the sadness of goodbyes!
What a relief to have your Visa business finished for another year or two! Now, all you have to worry about are your church services with Daryl there, packing for your move to Argentina, and wondering what all faces you as you make your move. Some may feel their lives are boring. You all just wish your lives were boring. Smile.
But I'm so happy you are doing all this for Jesus-busy though you may keep. Love, Mom D

Momma, thank you for your comment. I still hate goodbyes; heaven will be even more precious because of never again saying goodbye. Miss you and Daddy very much. Love you, Phillip

how it breaks my heart to have to say goodbye! Yes, I'm crying while I type this. Heaven will be sweet for NO MORE TEARS and NO MORE GOODBYE's! No more sin in Heaven too to deal with! Oh may we all be faithful to follow after Christ and live as HE would have us to... & take as many with us as we possibly can!
Love and miss you all so much,
Laura
