Need more time to pray?

I'd be happy to say that the following quote is original with me.  But it isn't:

"One of the greatest uses of Twitter and Facebook will be to prove at the Last Day that prayerlessness was not from lack of time."  (John Piper)

Take time to pray.  Someday you will wish you had left off much of what you're doing to pray.  When we stand before the Judgement our priorities of today will be turned upside down.  Let's meet around the Mercy Seat.  - Phillip

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,   Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.   Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is."    (Ephesians 5:15-17)

How To Have Spiritual Success

"And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go . . . and enquire . . . for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth..."  (Acts 9:11)

"You become like those with whom you spend the most time."

The one point where you will have success or failure Spiritually is in the place of prayer.
Daily prayer is daily communion with God.  The weak human coming in contact with the Almighty Divine.

You forsake God along with His strength and growth when you neglect Him in prayer.
Your partake of God and His miracle working resources when you carve out time for God in Prayer.

And your growth, usefulness, power, and communion with God comes in direct proportion to your obedience, desire, love, and time with God in prayer.

Your future (and the future of multitudes, including your offspring) will be affected by how you pray today.
Your life is changed (and others' lives will change) when you pray.

Precious things in life cost us the most.  And some Christians choose to spend more one-on-one time with their Lord.  It is they to whom the world looks to see Jesus.

A Christian with No Worries.

Today there is a lot of whipped up fear (might be a good idea to take a break from the Press).

Terrorism, Drug War, Economic Risk, Race Warfare, Class Warfare, Political Problems, Corruption, Injustice, Natural Calamities, Military Enemies, et cetera.

Don't let it bother you.  Receive all this as from the hand of the Lord for our good.  For at least it causes us to pray more.  And forgive, pray for, and labor for the good of  your "enemies" in all this too.

Many people's hearts are going to fail them for fear in these worsening times.

But for the Christian there is nothing to worry about.  Nothin'.  Nada.  Zilch.

Because for the Christian, all things, ALL THINGS work together for GOOD, to them who love the Lord.          Romans 8:28

Seek the One in life, gain the rest.

In this life

Health, Youth, and Beauty cannot be retained
Even if you would seek after these with all of your heart.

In this life

Wisdom, Love, and God's Glory may not only be gained
But continually increased
But only when you seek after Jesus Christ with all of your heart.

But in the next life

Those who gained Jesus Christ will enjoy all mentioned and infinitely much more.

Is God's power which raised Christ from the dead also for the Christian?

In Ephesians 1 & 2, the Apostle Paul prayed that God would help us to understand the "exceeding greatness of His power."

This same power of God did the following for Christ:

Raised Christ from the dead.  (1:20)  After He had already been dead for 3 days and for 3 nights.
Set Christ at God's right hand in Heavenly places.  (1:20)
Put all things under Christ's feet.  (1:22)
Made Christ head over all things.  (1:22)

This same power of God is also for us who believe. (1:19)  For us believers God's same power has:

Made you, believer, alive in Christ, having once been dead in sins.  (2:1)
Raised us up from sins.  (2:6)  Now that's complete victory!
Puts us in heavenly places in Jesus.  (2:6)
He did all that for us so that in eternity to come He might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us!  (2:7)

God gives you His limitless power!  God's power resurrected Christ, and now He places His same power at your service.  Imagine that.  Now what do you need from God for the glory of Jesus Christ?  Ask, and it shall be given unto you.

Ephesians 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
